Gifts of the Kalahri Safaris

Gifts of the Kalahari can book clients in any of the places of their personal interest in Botswana.

We advise our clients to book a year before their intended trip to ensure availabilty in thier preferred areas and camps.

We do also take late bookings but not later than three months before arrival.

We have two different bush camping areas in Botswana

1. Public Camping Areas

1. Public campsite areas have shared ablution blocks and camp sites are closer together. Campers and Mobile Safaris will usually book camp site closest to the ablution blocks to avoid walking long distances in the dark if necessary.

2. Private Campsite

Private Camping Areas are just that - Private. These are camps in the bush where there are no ammenities and everything is carried with the mobile safaris.

Shower Tents with "Bucket Showers" and "Toilet Tents" with dug out long drops and toilet seats are erected.

These campsites are private and not shared with any other mobile safaris or individual (self-drive) campers. These are BOGA or HATAB campsites and mobile safari or companies that are affiliated or are members with these associations only can book or use these private campsites

We also use private campsites in "Trust" areas such as Khwai, Mbabe, Sankuyo and Kavimba. These areas are owned by the Community Trust and are out of the protected areas but still in the "game zones". With in these areas night drives, walking safaris and off troad venrures are permitted within reason.

Numbers - Groups

With Gifts of the Kalahari Safaris individuals, couples, families or groups of up to 30 can be catered for.

Although with the groups of more than 25 people public camping areas are used as there is a maximum number limit to some of the campsites. Therefore, public campsites are more convenient due to the close proximity of the sites to each other and the ability of the group to spread out.
